About BlockPedia

BlockPedia exists because most Minecraft answers are buried in 20-minute videos. We publish the answer itself: dense, table-driven guides and free tools you can use mid-game.

Our editorial standard

Who runs BlockPedia

BlockPedia is a one-person project run by ZMT — a Minecraft Java Edition survival player of many years who got tired of 20-minute videos for a 30-second answer. Every guide is written from a fresh vanilla world: ZMT boots a clean save, reproduces the mechanic, records the raw numbers, screenshots the result, then distills it into tables and diagrams. No AI-generated filler, no paraphrased wiki copy — if a number is on this site, it was observed in-game.

This is not a content farm. It is one player's tested notes, published so you don't have to re-run the experiment. Suggestions, corrections and business inquiries are welcome at hello@blockpedia.net.

How we test (our setup)

Trust is the whole point, so here is exactly how a guide earns its numbers:

WhatDetail
EditionMinecraft Java Edition — the version the vast majority of our readers play
Version verified1.21.x — we re-test after each major release and bump the "Last verified" date on the page
World typeVanilla survival: no mods, no cheats, no creative shortcuts
MethodReproduce the mechanic in a fresh world, record the raw numbers, screenshot, then distil into tables and diagrams
Correction policyFound a change in a snapshot or update? Email us and we re-verify it within the next update cycle

How we make money

BlockPedia is free to read. We fund it through display advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links (for example, server hosting or gaming gear we genuinely recommend). Affiliate relationships never change our test results or recommendations — see the Affiliate Disclosure.
